Grain Season - Power for the next load...

Fall is the time when the grain really flows on the railroad... I happened to catch a couple of Chicago and Northwestern units waiting for a crew to pull the elevator...

Nice image and excellent modeling - thanks. I not only like those C&NW units doing what they should be doing during the harvest rush, but as a former Greyhound driver I also sure like that classic MC-7 bus on the overhead bridge. It still has the "Super-7 Scenicruiser" logo on the side just behind the driver's position. Something which gradually disappeared over the years. I drove a lot of those coaches (full, prototype size of course) over many miles - thanks for the memories.

I agree with Mark about the Greyhound in the photo. It's interesting how the graphics on the buses helps establish the time period. I've been trying to sort out the time span for the different Greyhound schemes. I wish someone had a web page or PDF that clarified them.

Bus is nice, but it must be out of fuel as it hasn't moved in months. I'll show myself out now :-) ....

Actually, he just happened to take his photos at the same time of day when the bus passes by.
