Modelling SP Commute trains at CMRS.
Author: ATSF_SDF40-2

Although I was born to late to see these trains in action, since I grew up on the penninula Ive always been facinated by SP's commute operations.
First photo is SP 3197 with a little Donner soot from weekend warrior service.
P30CH is an Overland models unit out for a test run. Still needs a little more fine tuning.
Last photo is SP 6462. Athearn model that I added the nose door headlight in to represent its later apearance.

All photos taken on the Carquinez Model Railroad Society layout in Crockett, CA.

A fine selection of the lesser-seen motive power and consists.

Wow, first image of an HO scale "Pooch" that I've seen in a long time. Nice.

Looking good Nick!
Still waiting for someone to turn out a reasonably price plastic SP sub.
