1.5 scale SP Alco Century 630
Author: dmaffei

Scratch building in whole new level.
Not sure if this locomotive has ever been done in 1.5 scale, but someday this monster will be on the rails. Locomotive will have a hydraulic drive as many locomotives this scale have. The modeler has a great attention to detail, so it should be a great representation of the prototype. So does anyone know of another C630 in 1.5 scale?

Since it's going to be hydraulic drive maybe model a DH-643?

If this is 1/8 scale, the overall length would be 8 ft.-8.25 in. btw coupler faces correct?

The coupler is backwards.  I just checked my 1/8th scale train.

I can't say that I've ever seen a 6-axle Alco Century unit before in miniature. Wilbur Kloppenberg from MO built a C-430 with Hi-Adhesionn trucks.
A number of PA's have been built and John Sweeney up in MI has built some RSD units I think.

When you have a thousand clamps but still need the vise grips for that odd spot. Lol. Very cool project.

Looks great, especially the trucks.
Look forward to seeing it here at Train Mountain.
