Burlington Northern RC car anybody?
Author: dmaffei

With Scaletrains releasing the BN SD40-2 Locotrol units this month, it would be nice to have those B unit RC cars to go with the locomotives...

Did a little search and found they were custom made by a company called Ready Train

A friend had one of the cars they built which is the photo attached. Would be a fun project with an old Highliners F7B shell. Anyone thinking this besides me?
These BN Locotrol sets tested on the SP in my era and thought it would be a nice splash of color for my Scarlet and Grey fleet.

Several also found their way to British Columbia Railway after the BN was done with them.

Speaking of Highliners, does anyone have an extra set of horizontal slot grills for a F7A they would be will to part with?

There's so litte detail on those it might not be worth using a Highliner shell, if something cheaper with decent end detail could be found. Maybe a Stewart B unit? Bowser is dumping F unit shells for about $15 each.
