Model Railroading > Livin’Large, fall outdoor meets in Tx/OkDate: 10/20/24 10:25 Livin’Large, fall outdoor meets in Tx/Ok Author: WrongWayMurphy We had four meets in the past month, I skipped the second one in Kansas City,
then missed most days at the meet east of Dallas due to my Dads funeral/memorial service, then cut short the meet this past weekend due to back issues. Here is the LOCO track just east of Oklahoma City : Entrance Rock Island inspired geep The lovely Mrs. Murphy and me on my doodlebug. ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 10/20/24 10:27 Re: Livin’Large, fall outdoor meets in Tx/Ok Author: WrongWayMurphy Date: 10/20/24 10:32 Re: Livin’Large, fall outdoor meets in Tx/Ok Author: WrongWayMurphy East of Dallas we played switching games using car cards.

2-8-0 passenger train ran all day Me and my ten-wheeler. This lokie was recently acquired from Trainorders.com member Tom STP and received a new boiler. This was the first firing since the boiler was replaced, and everything worked great. Edited 1 time(s). Here we have a pair of ATSF locomotives meeting at the halfway point. Sweet control stand from the RS3. Big center cab locomotive with passengers passes a big oak. ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 10/20/24 10:49 Re: Livin’Large, fall outdoor meets in Tx/Ok Author: WrongWayMurphy Lots of Santa Fe at this track.
Guts of the blue/yellow diesel Santa Fe 4-4-0 There was a lot more I could've should've photographed but didn't. Outdoor trains are great, but the people are the best part of this hobby. ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 10/24/24 18:48 Re: Livin’Large, fall outdoor meets in Tx/Ok Author: rrman6 All very nice shots of various engines. Can't imagine the hours involved in construction and details. Just wishin' I was closer to see them. As a Rock Island fan forever, I like the RI 4406 GP-7. I bet it will soon receive the finalization with lettering and such. Happy rollin' to you all!
