Savannah&Charleston power(updated)
Author: SALGUY

Just like I resurrected the Tampa Northern name, I've now brought back the Savannah&Charleston as well, with a twist.  Instead of eventual acl ownership, it's now a subsidary of the all powerful Seaboard Air Line.  Let's look at a couple of photos.

Photo 1.  Future S&C engine in the decal shop.
Photo 2.  A family photo showing, left to right, Seaboard Air Line, Tampa Northern, Gainesville Midland and Savannah & Charleston..  The first 3 are all Kato SD40s.  The S&C unit is an Athearn Ready to Roll SD45.

Be sure to check out my Tampa Northern.

Are the colors for Tampa Northern and Savannah & Charleston the same?
(I'm reminded of the ACL family member Charleston & Western Carolina that did not go to Charleston.  It did, however, serve western carolina)

No, they are not the same colors.  The Tampa Northern is Tamiya Navy Blue, I call it Gulf Blue and the Savannah and Charleston is Tamiya Purple.  The lighting in the basement is very bright and distorts colors a bit.

Thanks for asking the question and your interest in my Tampa Northern.
