ClassOneModelWorks wheel load
Author: CSX2605

I've had this Lonestar flatbed trailer for a few years and could never find a load I was happy with to put on the trailer. After getting the ClassOneModelWorks wheel set load to put on a flatcar I realized I found my load! Did a YouTube search for loading rail wheels and found out how they are loaded and tied down I was off to the workbench. Installed 12 - 36" wheels after some weathering to the wheels and tied them down with A-Line chain at 40 links per inch. The "2x4" lumber I used for the wheels to rest on is the leftover dunnage from a Trainlife laser cut lumber load. When the weather is better I will get some photos taken outdoors.

Couple more photos. Wheelset load on a Walthers flatcar. I have one more load to do on a Scale Trains Fox Valley flatcar.

Looks awesome. The chain work makes my head hurt. or maybe thats because of the clown with the leaf blower across the street for the last hour. Anyways, great job!

I think around 900 lbs for 36"? Years ago an old carman told me and hope I'm remembering correctly.

While both loads are very good looking the double stacked flat car is outstanding looking.
