Model Railroading > New items from Trainfest?Date: 11/27/24 14:34 New items from Trainfest? Author: DutchDragon Is there any place where you can see a list of the new items announced during Trainfest? It's been unusably quiet this year. Thanks!

I'm sorry that I can't answer your question in its entirety but may I suggest that you go to whatever manufacturer / importer you are interested in and search it for new or recently announced items. Trainfest this year, I thought was less attended this year. I understand MANY people did NOT care for the downtown venue or the host of the event, the GATS organization. it was not well advertised on the streets of downtown as to where to go, where to park, where to enter or similar designations. IT IS MY OPINION that many manufacturers / importers held off this year introducing new items because it's an election year and past problems with the economy. I had heard it will move back to the Wisconsin State Fairgrounds for 2025. We shall see.

I went for my one & only time in 2019. I thought it was awesome but the veterans were telling me it's not what it use to be back in the day. If it moves back to the fairgrounds for 2025 I will seriously consider going. I hate downtown venues. Everything is expensive and no place to park. Date: 11/28/24 09:32 Re: New items from Trainfest? Author: scrimjimmy One of the reasons I heard for moving the date back was that they did not want it so close to the election. The advertising costs would be much higher due to all the political commercial and ads. Supposedly the venue was cheaper than State Fair Park. From what I have heard the NMRA will be taking the show back over for next year and will be moving the show back to the normal weekend at back to State Fair Park.

Here is one person's review. I have not seen a true 'list' of everything, but that probably will be in next month's MRN, MR, and MRC. |
