I Want To Buy A Used Super Mac Loco
Author: donnerpass

I have a one eighth scale railroad that runs around our property.  I have two Super Mac locomotives made by Cannonball that I have MUed together.  I wouuld like to buy another used Super Mac.  How do I go about trying to find someone who wants to sell?  Thanks for any suggestions.

I sold mine to a guy in OK a couple years ago, but he passed away last year.

Ill ask his widow if she wants to sell it if she hasn't already.

Thank you so much for the suggestions.  If you are ever in Auburn, California, stop by.

Wondering how it will MU as have been told that the 4qd controler will not allow three units, why I dont know but was told the same about hydraulic units also. Been in the large scale hobby for quite a few years only exception to those statements were computer controlled ones many years back.

I pestered Cannonball for some time about MUing Super Macks.  They finally asked me to design the electronics to do so and in return they offered a free Super Mack.  I did so, and provided them with the design.  I calculated that my design would work with up to 50 Super Macks, but I tested it with 5.  Two were actual Super Macks and 3 were breadboards complete with motors and Pro-120 controllers.  You are right, the Pro-120 controler was designed to support only 2 locomotives in MU, so I took a completely different approach.  My two Super Macks have been working together with my design for many years now.  I would like to add a third.
