Tsunami Question
Author: skokieswift

Hello Group:

Do I have it correct that CV29 controls direcction settings?  I had two locos that recently "decided" that forward on the throttle means reverse in reality and I would llike to correct that.

Thanks,

SkokieSwift

You certainly can. Or you can reverse the motor leads. Some roads run long hood forward, so you want to check that.

Or use Decoder Pro. On the Basic pane, select Locomotive direction: normal or reversed

Easy stuff:

If your DCC controller can read CVs, then read CV29. If the value of CV29 is an even number, add 1 to that number and write that new value back to CV29.

However, if it is an odd number, subtract 1 from that number and write that new value back to CV29.

e.g. if CV29 is 10 change it to 11, but if it is 9 change it to 8.
