HO Intermountain UP Tier 4s (ET44AC)
Author: east_bay_alex

Sharing a recent project for a new customer. This is the first time I have been asked to weather a pair of locomotives for someone else. My task was to weather them unique to each other and do a medium approach. My vision was to create a pair of units that have been months of service in the Portland, OR - West Colton, CA pool along the I-5 Corridor. This was an interesting project as these locomotives are a bit newer than the era I choose to model. Prototype photos were referenced. Feedback is always appreciated.

Here are some additional detail photos. The Fusion Scale Graphics GEVO window masking set was used and I will add that this saved tons of time and was extremely easy to apply and remove.

Fine looking models , great weathering !!  Details such as the rub spots on the ends of the unit , behind the cab on the engineer's side long hood and the brake wheel !!  WOW!

A fine job! Although some may prefer a bright, shiny locomotive, the reality is that these pool units acquire quite a bit of dirt and grime in service.

Some of the best weathering I've ever seen over the decades.
