A little seasoning on a Tangent CNW caboose
Author: CNW

Weathering to me is like seasoning food; everyone likes things a little different.  So here is my seasoned Tangent caboose.  A beautiful model out of the box but I just had to add some flavor.  I added the slogan decals, changed the numbers, moved the ACI tags and COTS panels to match a specific prototype and added weathering.

Nice.  Did you do the screening on the larger side windows or did the unit come that way?

I don't even like diesels, but I always look for your byline.  You do a better job of scenery and weathering  by being subtle than anyone I've seen.  You have it dialed in!

Great composition between the caboose and your awesome scenery!
'Wonderful inspiration for us modelers out here.

The screens come on the model out of the box.  The windows in the end doors have screens also.  They appear to be etched metal.

Your weathering looks great.  The caboose looks like it's rolled through many Iowa cornfields full of pollen and dirt!

That looks great! Not overdone but showing some road wear.

Which road number is correct? The one on the side or the one over the end door? Masterful weathering.

The number should be 11104.  I forgot to change the numbers above the doors.

The curse of the camera. Nobody would ever notice that on the layout! The car looks terrific.

Sorry, when I read the above I had a small chuckle.  That is soooooo something I would do.  Agree with the earlier post, 'invisible on the layout' which is where such a fine model should be.  Well done!
