Model Railroading > A little seasoning on a Tangent CNW cabooseDate: 01/06/25 11:08 A little seasoning on a Tangent CNW caboose Author: CNW Weathering to me is like seasoning food; everyone likes things a little different. So here is my seasoned Tangent caboose. A beautiful model out of the box but I just had to add some flavor. I added the slogan decals, changed the numbers, moved the ACI tags and COTS panels to match a specific prototype and added weathering.

'Wonderful inspiration for us modelers out here. Steve Date: 01/06/25 15:50 Re: A little seasoning on a Tangent CNW caboose Author: CNW >>Did you do the screening on the larger side windows or did the unit come that way?
>>jb The screens come on the model out of the box. The windows in the end doors have screens also. They appear to be etched metal. -Dennis Date: 01/06/25 16:15 Re: A little seasoning on a Tangent CNW caboose Author: bigmc83 Your weathering looks great. The caboose looks like it's rolled through many Iowa cornfields full of pollen and dirt!
-Sean Date: 01/06/25 16:16 Re: A little seasoning on a Tangent CNW caboose Author: CSX2605 That looks great! Not overdone but showing some road wear.

Date: 01/07/25 10:40 Re: A little seasoning on a Tangent CNW caboose Author: CNW The number should be 11104. I forgot to change the numbers above the doors.

-Dennis Sorry, when I read the above I had a small chuckle. That is soooooo something I would do. Agree with the earlier post, 'invisible on the layout' which is where such a fine model should be. Well done! Cliff Rutherford Grain Valley, MO |
