This may have been beaten to death, BUT,
when I have a 20 car line of hoppers and those darn couplers, uncouple and leave half the train running the wrong way, grrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!
Impossible to replace!! Unless you want to just about destroy the under frame!!
I'm glad Athearn had the brains, to not keep using them...
I've been buying Athearn for 30 years, but this stupidy in screwing up a great model
really takes the cake ( in the face)!!!

no, Genesis is Athearn. It's those trinity covered hoppers they
did a couple years ago where they used the scale coupler that
you couldn't replace with a KD #5

That is why I bought, and am still buying, the LBF cars. You have many more numbers and they come with Kadee Couplers and they are cheaper than the Athearn. For those guys that like to stage cars in a siding, the top hatches open on the LBF cars.
