Model Railroading > Atlas GP40Date: 02/13/05 04:55 Atlas GP40 Author: yunzer I recently bought an Atlas GP 40 and, following the instructions of NCE, attempted to install their D14SR decoder for DCC operation. The decoder snaps right in, as promissed. However, once the decoder is in, there is not enough room to snap the body back in place -- perhaps 1/16 to 1/8 inch too much space taken by the decoder. Any ideas to fix this "tiny" problem?

But can't remember if the decoder was NCE or some other brand. I use NCE DCC, but I use whatever decoder works the best. Check and make sure you have that puppy well seated and sitting down on the board and you may find the tiny amount you need to pop the shell on.
