Transit Strike Cuts Amtrak SJC-Santa Cruz Connection

The strike is by drivers of the Santa Cruz Transit District, which operates the Route 17 Express that Amtrak and Caltrain now use as their Santa Cruz connection.

Warning notices were placed in the Capitol Corridors PIDS system (platform signs).

Any news on when they might resolve the strike reindeer? I am scheduled to use the Amtrak Highway 17 SJC-SVY this Fri and back on Mon...

Is it fair to say that the bus drivers live in Santa Cruz?
