Amtrak Thruway Bus - East Lansing to Toledo
Author: RuleG

My brother is contemplating taking an Amtrak trip this month. The first leg of the trip involves a Thruway
Bus connection from East Lansing to Toledo where he will transfer to the eastbound Capitol Limited. He noted the 45 minute layover and was wondering about the reliability of the bus.

Has anyone here ever used the bus in the winter or know about its reliability?

Thanks in advance.

Dave

I have not ridden this bus, as I live in Toledo. But considering that it is a dedicated Amtrak bus, I would imagine that the train would be held for it if the bus were late.

For that matter, it's my sense that the train is far more likely to be late than the bus is.

The Bus is Ontime for the most part since it starts in East Lansing i have never heard of any passenger missing the train.

Generally speaking the Ambus is pretty reliable.
