Passenger Trains > Amtrak California 2002 and 2008

I saw on the western board. Amtrak California Units 2002 and 2008 being sent south. Any Ideas whats up with these Units?

Off to Amtrak's shop at Redondo Jct in LA for wreck repair - both units were damaged in grade crossing accidents in the last few months (don't remember which ones - there have been so many!).

2002 was involved with a semi in Bakersfield, CA at Kratzemyer Road. I found a piece of its fiberglass nose next to the RofW, its about 4ft tall by 2ft wide, lol not many people can say they have one of these, hehehe. 2008 I think was involved in another grade-crossing incident in Kern County, I could be mistaken.
