A creepin we went
Author: cs16

Spent Saturday the 15th on the Heber Valley Railroad. A nice ride on a beautiful spring day rumbling along behind their MRS1 1813.

Not to burst some one's bubble, but how is this related to Amtrak or other normal passenger train operations or commuter train operations?

A passenger train is a passenger train wether you classify it as "normal" or not.
B'sides it beats reports on amtrak trying to drive away business.

TCS - when do the automats come in?

There's a thought: Has anyone preserved an automat?

Crashela
Its a passenger train if you don't have to be an employee (or museum member) to legally ride it.

Well I'll tell you what, when there is a tourist operation discussion board put here, then stuff like this can be posted there and it won't interfere with the normal AMBASHING that goes on here.

Back in the 40's, I believe, US Army had some loco built by ALCo and EMD, hence Military Road Switcher. EMD had peaked roofs like this one, ALCo's looked more like a RS-1 with a lowered cab.
