MP54's and GG1's at Speed

The first is an MP54 set at Bowie, Maryland, in February, 1978.
The second is a GG1, of course, taken at Glenndale (PRR spelling), Maryland, in March, 1972.
And lastly, a snow-impervious Metroliner, also at Glenndale, Maryland, in early 1979.
I hope you enjoy these. As my scanner is kaput, these are digital photos of slides...

That's interesting self powered metroliners with a GG1 Pulling?

Yep. Air intakes on the Metroliner MU's were not designed correctly for many types of snow, and GG1's were used in those cases. If I remember correctly, very finely powdered snow would not be good for the GG1's, either.
