Passenger Trains > Has the Palmetto been running??

I've noticed the past few days that I haven't heard #90 coming north in the mornings, although #89 has been coming through. Are they using this for the Safety Patrol Train. Only reason I ask that is that a friend of mine has seen a NB Amtrak train pass through at around 1AM for the last few nights with the Palmetto consist. He says he thinks it was a P-978 or something like that? Seems kinda wierd because I know that they have been using #98 and #92 for these Safety Patrol Trains too.

I believe CSX has been calling the safety patrol trains P978 or something similar (not P092/P098), but Amtrak still considers them to be 92/98.

Track work south of Florence, has 90 starting at Florence. 89 can operate through a the track window is open in the evening.

Makes sense, thanks for the info. Where is the track work being done? How long is it supposed to last?
