Passenger Trains > Amtrak #51 has three office cars on rear todayDate: 01/23/08 09:17 Amtrak #51 has three office cars on rear today Author: rresor Today's (1/23) #51 out of Union Station, WAS has three CSX business cars on the rear: diner Greenbrier, sleeper Indiana, and a third whose name I did not catch. #51 consist is also "backwards". with three Amfleet II followed by an Amfleet II diner/lounge, a Viewliner sleeper (didn't get name) and the three CSX cars. Looks like a real train for a change.

But in Washington, DC, #51 was delayed for 33" because CSX provided paperwork for only two cars, and Amtrak would not accept the 3rd car until proper paperwork had been provided about 30 minutes late.... So we left at 11:43 a.m. instead of 11:10 a.m. And the time was not gained back enroute.
