Passenger Trains > Sandpatch camDate: 09/10/09 17:59 Sandpatch cam Author: retcsxcfm Is there something wrong with it? It has been two hours since anything has shown.#29 was 37 minutes late out of Cumberland and has not shown on the cam.Last image was 6:48PM 9-10-09.

Not really strange at all. It was dark for that time period and night movements usually do not show up. Also, 2 hour lulls on this line are not unusual - even before the economic downturn. Date: 09/11/09 10:22 Re: Sandpatch cam Author: sonderweg I don't think the camera picks up *everything* - I noticed during the longer days of the summer months, 29 didn't always show up - even though it was mostly on time and there was still plenty of light out. And, if I recall correctly, it even missed 30 - always a daylight train - once or twice.
Date: 09/11/09 13:33 Re: Sandpatch cam Author: toledopatch Another factor to consider is that after each recording, the camera needs some 'recycle' time. So if two trains run close to each other -- possible especially if there's a meet somewhere near Hyndman -- the system will miss the second one.
