HOLD ONTO THE STROLLER AS THE TRAIN ENTERS THE STATION. Date: 10/16/09 13:09 Re: Baby survives after being run over by train Author: DavidP Coach Wrote:

I watched the CNN video and report and they said it was high winds that blew the stroller with baby off the platform. A miracle the baby is alive and the mother did not get hit trying to catch the stroller. I could only imagine what the engineer thought of this happening right in front of him. I've stuck and killed one person and a countless number of animals as an engineer over a 20 year period but an infant would be my worst nightmare. Thankful mom and baby are in good physical shape. I can't imagine the mothers' thoughts when the train ran over her baby. Thank God the child (and mother ) are OK.-BMT

Let's not forget about the engineer's thoughts when he/she saw that stroller roll off the platform right in front of the train. I had more fatalities than I care to remember during my career, but thankfully, I never hit a child. A lot of parent would hold on to the carriage as the train approached, didn't do it. A lot of parents would ( used to ) pay attention to these things. Maybe this one just got a second chance to be attentive. And everyone is correct, who thinks of the engineer and how his mental state was and is after that.
