Once again, an excellent set of stories Chris. We enjoyed reading them and reliving our time in La Plata. This time, however, from the "warmth" of Seattle.

You got outta town just in time buddy. The current temp. in La Plata (Kirksville) is seven above with light snow. Down to -8 tonight, high of 5 tomorrow. Sometimes I do understand why people want to live in California.

when it is 72 degrees today here in Santa Ana and you are 5 above there, who wouldn't want to live in warm California! Plus I had a great round trip to San Diego this morning on the Pacific surfliners. Can't see the Pacific Ocean in Missouri!
