Does anyone know the results of the test??
Author: edsaalig

This photo was taken in November of 1970. This was stenciled on the side of UP 928, E-unit. The 928 was on the Eastbound City of Los Angeles. The photo was taken at the Pomona station. Does anyone know the results of the paint test???? Or better yet why and what was tested??

Well, since this is almost 40 years ago now, it might work better over on "Nostalgia & History."

Maybe someone with more knowledge will jump in here but to my knowledge Imron became the standard for the UP Armour Yellow color and might still be the product used today as it is still available. This might be a very significant little stencil in the history of UP paint.

The rusting hulk of 928 still remains at Cheyenne-- I wonder if the stencil is still there.

Wow, I turned 6 on that very day. I hope I've held up better than the 928 8^P
