Amtrak 703 had a problem tonight

Amtrak 703 was just 4 minutes late out of Turlock headed to Modesto tonight (Thursday). At Empire they apparently struck a person. They arrived Sacramento about 2 hrs and 7 minutes late according to the website. I am not sure of the condition of the man that was struck. I understand that he was consious when the crew first got to him, but not sure of the outcome. Will people ever learn???

Banana colored engines are beautiful if one person figures out not to stand on the track.

Apparently he was sitting on the tracks, got up and started to walk away as the train approached, but realized he forgot his backpack on the tracks and ran back to recover it. Sadly he expired later at the hospital.
