Tell me how you get stuck on the tracks, clear the crossing, and then back onto the tracks!

That corner carries Los Lunas's busy E-W Main Street intersecting busy N-S NM314, which parallels the RR track from Isleta to Belen. The intersection is getting a turn bay added, bike path, other work, is just feet west of the rails, does not have quad gates.
Looks like this guy was caught in red light traffic between track and 314, oddly backed up when he heard the horn, stalled. Luckily, I believe there's a slow zone there due to the closeby street work. And, of course, the reporter had the conductor stopping the train, which carries a whistle, she says, not horns. |
