I guess they don't want a repeat of it's last trip...

Or the damage to the pilot was too serious for Los Angeles to fix (though the unit is OK for operation in the trail position), and it's going back to Beech Grove.

Doubtful, I've seen LA repair worse. Most likely if its headed to Beech Grove for repair it's simply because it is a "special" unit and the people who care want to be able to ensure the work is done to spec, which they can't necessarily do from 2200 miles away. LA was dong work on the unit, including what appeared to be repainting it (and at one point I thought a pilot had been reattached though someone else later dismissed that), and it's possible the unit is repaired and simply enroute to Chicago for its next assignment (and isn't equipped with ATS).

Sweet!

Hopefully I'll be able to snatch a shot or two in KC tomorrow morning.

Is it still on #4 for tomorrow thru Iowa & Illinois?
