Stranger in these parts

Since last week, Amtrak 508 has been the regular power on the Carl Sandburg (Trains 381/382, Chicago-Quincy). The attached photo was taken yesterday in West Quincy Missouri as the train was turning on the wye (part of the K Line) before backing into its siding at the BNSF West Quincy yards where it is serviced.

That locomotive looked much, much better in Phase IV livery.

This locomotive may be one of the bio-fuel locomotives testing between Chicago and St Louis.

I think it looks fine just the way it is...but that's just me.
