Here are a couple shots from last month--on a stormy day--of the Princeton dinky - and then my first ever shot of the dinky shot in Princeton, 34 years back, also in the rain.

(Re: The second shot - sharing the one with the train still far away on purpose. Something about the wet rails made me like this image more than the standard wedgie with it close enough).

Very nice. The rain makes for a moody feeling about the photos. Always an interesting operation, my own first encounter with the Princeton "Dinky" was in April 1974. Thanks for posting.

The third and fourth pix show the way the Pennsylvania Railroad intended for people to travel.

I like your shot... really reminds me of visting that location in 76/77 time frame.

Here's my dad's take on it from 1948.

What the worms brought was mostly more PRR mismanagement. (Opinion based on reading "Wreck of the Penn Central"; I wasn't actually there)

Great pictures, thanks for sharing.

I was happy to see the MU baggage car. They only occasionally turn up in photos.

There is only 1 MPB-54 left in existance, and it is a ex-LIRR car, now 97 years young, Scroll down to 1398:
(The 1391 had to be scrapped in Riverhead a few years ago as it was falling apart):

There are no other baggage/mail versions of the MP54 from any railroad, anywhere, anymore.
