Interesting. Is there a similar site for freights?

Normanroger.If this thing could track all passenger and freight trains it would bankrupt the server for sure.Could you imagine how many servers and how much bandwidth it would take to track all of these passenger and freight trains?That is a lot of train traffic to track.If you are waiting for someone at the station than Amtrak Status Maps a laptop computer and a WIFI connection is all you need.Not to mention the cost of putting such servers on line.Amtrak Status Maps are privately funded.
