BTW most TA motorpeople don't look at the signal, they look to see if the "trip" is up or not to indicate if they can proceed. This practice has caused several accidents especially when an operator inadvertently passed the insulated joint but not the signal or the trip this "keying" it down, thinking the signal had cleared.
