We had the 510 and the 505 leaving Portland. Had some low oil pressure problems on the 510. Added the UP 4241 at Eugene to make sure we made the hill.

Thanks for that info George. It'd been quite a debate on another forum as to why they added a UP loco to get over the hill. Nobody guessed low oil pressure!

Thanks George for the numbers. I got a nice photo of 11 and the ORHF site from the MLK Viaduct and
my photo didn't show the 505 number very well. an interesting power set. And a beautiful day
in Portland for a change. Arlen
