Those Alamosa shop folks can do wonders. Brought a wheel set to Hobbs to replace a bad-ordered wheel on that car. Train got into Hobbs late Monday night April 30 and at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday the car was to be used to host RR clients. Early that morning they moved the car to a Nova Mud spur and began working on it. It was repaired by early afternoon in time to host clients and the car and train left for El Paso and points northeast around 1 a.m. Wednesday. The crew got to eat at the local steakhouse that evening and I expect Ed picked up the tab!
