Train #28 Stuck? What Will This Mean for #27 or #28 of

Appears train 28 is stuck between Bingen-White Salmon and Pasco? Anyone know details? Appears from the Amtrak status it will be a while trying to get in to Pasco. Anyone have any details or what's going on?

If #28 truly is stuck.....or severly delayed, will #7/27 go to Seattle instead (full consist?). Just curious if any plan has been put into place......

A series of brushfires ignited, some 350+ acres burned. No word on 28's progress.

Wow, sorry to hear about the fires and hope all are OK.

As for the Empire Builders looks like they are pretty much back to normal - running HOURS late.

28 and 8 appear they will be coming in to their Western terminals today, and that a combined 8/28 did finally join up and depart Spokane a little over 6 hours late!

At least things are moving and hopefully the brush fires are under control.....

I don't think there is a firm rule - it has to do with bus availability.

In early July I was keeping a watch on this train for an upcoming trip and I was noticing that this train would arrive into Spokane and depart 5 to 6 hours late. Now sometimes it would make up time on its way to Seattle/Portland, but not much. What this often meant was a late departure out of Portland and Seattle, upwards of 10 p.m. at time. Six hours late coming in to Seattle, six hours late going out of Seattle!
