Passenger Trains > "slight delay" SB #11 in Tacoma

Since many of the members here like to nickname this train the "Starlate", any bets on the arrival time in LA tomorrow on this Saturday morning train?
Full disclosure (at this point on the journey) 20 min. delay into Tacoma, but left Seattle on time.

Power is #159 & #207. No PV's and a standard consist of cars.

Left Tacoma at 10:56 AM.

That's hardly a delay. Train #11 of August 4th was over a hour late leaving Emeryville, and it still arrived to Los Angeles 25 minutes early.

Some schedule padding down this way! This is a D stop only. Can highball as soon as station work done. Recall,sometime back,
#11 arrived at LAX 35min early,according to Amtrak web site status.Talk about schedule padding,was returning on #3 SWC few years
ago. Arrived LAX 1hr20min early!

delays can and will occur at any time at any location, in either direction
therefore, Amtrak schedules are "padded"
it appears that this No.11 arrived PDX one minute early and departed on time

Today's Coast Starlight 11(11) led by AMTK 159, 207 passed by ORHF just south of PDX at 15:00 with PV Silver Iris on the rear.

The prediction I made yesterday morning was pretty close. The Starlight arrived in L.A. 29 minutes early, at 8:31pm.

I made that optimistic prediction partially because it is a weekend, and there is less interference from Metrolink trains, so the Starlight if free to proceed ahead of schedule starting at Oxnard.

What is really interesting is the northbound 14 is over 4 hours late out if Portlland and it started on the same day and travelled over the same tracks.
