Passenger Trains > NJ: Partial PATH service resumption

The Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH) will resume limited service on Tuesday. This service will be JSQ-PAV-33 only. That's Journal Square in Jersey City to Pavonia Newport in Jersey City to 33rd street in Manhattan. Service to 9th, 14th Christopher and 23rd will not be provided, nor will service to Hoboken be offered,

Service to Newark, to World Trade, to Grove, and to Harrison remains suspended.

They really need to get it going from Newark to Journal Square, but I am glad to see any mass transit come back online.

Newark to Journal Square may be back as soon as the weekend, along with Newark to World Trade. We'll see.

Still, restoring JSQ-33 will take the heat off the four block long lines of people waiting for buses at JSQ. Figure one train equals ten or so buses. Running express will probably knock about five minutes off the typical trip from Newport to 33.

Took Path this am from Pavonia to 33rd slow go but moving. But commute overall was extraordinarily lengthy this am.
