Some Interiors on the New River Train

While working this year's New River Train, I did get a chance during a Hinton layover to shoot a few car interiors.

Here's two photos from the Milwaukee road dome and one from one of the other MLW cars.

Braddock Inn, former MARC Parlor-Lounge car now owned by Collis P. Huntington Railroad Historical Society.

Not sure of #3, may be one of the NYC cars.

Yes, it is clearly a NYC car; the ceiling air duct grille is a dead giveaway.

I ate on one of Amtrak's ex-NYC 1948 diners on the Lake Shore last month, which was readily identifiable by the same grille work. It was a pleasure to enjoy a good breakfast on the Water Level Route in such an historic car.

Those classy, comfy-looking dome interiors were accented by the rainy, autumned-leafed weather outside.
