Press release from Sen. Lautenberg announcing release of $25 million in FTA funds to assist NJ Transit in recovering from Hurricane Sandy damages. Will most go to rail or bus or light rail?

Congratulations to Senator Lautenburg for prying this money loose from the feds.

Several news reports say he and Senator Menendez were irritated that Governor Christie requested the $30bn grant from the feds without having them in the room and on the TV set to share in the announcement.

The bad blood goes back to well before Christie canceled Lautenburg's tunnel...
