Richie Havens, 1941-2013
Author: GenePoon

Folk singer Richard P. "Richie" Havens, the opening act at the 1969
Woodstock music festival, died Monday of a sudden heart attack.

This post is on topic for TO because Richie Havens sang the Amtrak
jingle from the early 1990s, "There's Something About A Train That's Magic."

I'm sorry to read this. I knew of Richie Havens mostly for "Here comes the Sun" and was not aware of his promo for Amtrak.

My condolences to his family.
