LIRR Ronkonkoma Line: another fatal crossing wreck

"Man killed after LIRR train hits car east of Brentwood train station"

It involved another Budd M-3 MU, which got anti-climber/coupler damage.
Since it is of the opposite gender of the married pair as the one whose front end was incinerated last January, common wisdom, is the two orphaned mates will be paired off.

Public comment feeds are a pain in the ass for the newspapers, because they require so much babysitting, and manpower is getting very tight.

Some papers may have that, but not many -- having a full-time moderator is a payroll luxury, especially if you consider that would involve staffing 21 shifts per week. Bigger papers have somebody on-duty 24/7, but with other duties as well. A lot have gone to Facebook-based or Yahoo-based systems for comments.
