Passenger Trains > ODOT 2 now in Seattle

The second ODOT Talgo trainset arrived in Seattle just after midnight. It's currently (seen here) parked at King Street Station, Track 7.

N I thought the P42'S was ugly!

Not only !!! ugly !!! but God help the crew if they ever hit anything.
Looks like the Scion of locomotives.

If it hits anything, the ENTIRE trainset will be forced to be sidelined for repairs thus removing passenger capacity from this corridor. At least with a locomotive or NPCU F40 on the ends, they can be swapped out and allow for the trainset to remain in service.

That would be the Mt. Jefferson. ODOT 1 is Mt. Bachelor.

Was talking to a Amtrak conductor, who works out of Portland,
earlier this week who mentioned concern about the crew being
lower in the cab and more in the "strike zone".

A train suitable for any "plasticville" layout.

That's what happens when design work is done by committee. First we lost common sense and now we've lost our aesthetic sense.

Was wondering if this was based on a cartoon character. Should be a big hit with the kids.

I can only hope that the people who designed this hideous thing(s) are reading our "warm" feedback on these cabcars! lol
