Passenger Trains > 5 and 6 of the 13th

Ok, I am totally confused (an increasingly-familiar occurrence I'm afraid!). The Amtrak Status Map is showing #5/13 as 5 minutes late out of Truckee with the only service gap between Fort Morgan and Grand Junction, CO. Likewise #6 is shown as 57 minutes late out of Burlington. Yet 5 threads down are pics of #6/13 at the Cheyenne Depot. And elsewhere there are threads reporting these trains in and around Denver, IIRC.

The simplest explanation I can think of is that Amtrak bustituted between SLC and GJT and ran SLC -- DEN via Wyoming in something close to the usual manner. But then why not show arrivals/departures in Denver? So the question is what actually went where when??

The pictures 5 threads down would have been the train #6 of the 12th if they were taken on 9/13 in Cheyenne.

Ah, you're absolutely right, I read that as #6 of the 13, not taken in Cheyenne on the 13th, which is what it says. See the parathetical in my first sentence:-/......

Still doesn't explain the odd gap regarding both trains between Grand Junction and Fort Morgan though.

On one trip, they bused Denver-Cheyenne after turning one train at Denver, one at Cheyenne. Dates direction of travel is not at hand as I write this.

Best that I can guess, is that they continued the UP detour all the way to Omaha!

For one trip, they did.

Well, I can tell you the train that left Chicago as #5(13) came back as #6(13) today, so it must have been turned around somewhere.
