Love 1 & 2 Chris, hope you had a safe trip. That shelter reminds me of the one that used to be in Provo, UT when I rode the Zephyr home to California from college. The note about the conductor opening the gate tells me how little use this station gets.

There is padding built into the schedule between nearly every stop for #6 between Truckee, CA and Glenwood Springs, CO. With good running, #6 and #5 might spend as much as 35 minutes at Grand Junction, for example, instead of the posted 13-minute stop.
