Yellow Line Train Derails in Rogers Park

> A CTA Yellow Line train derailed Tuesday afternoon in the Rogers
> Park neighborhood on the North Side, officials said.

> The train experienced a "minor derailment" while approaching the
> Howard station at 7519 N. Paulina St. about 1:40 p.m., according to
> CTA spokesperson Catherine Hosinski.
>
> The three passengers on the train were moved to the front of the
> train and assisted onto the platform. No injuries had been reported
> as of 2:40 p.m., Hosinski said.

> Service was suspended on the Yellow Line after the incident, and
> shuttle buses were operating in both directions as alternate
> transportation.

> Customers can also take the No. 97 Skokie bus, Hosinski said.

> The derailment is causing delays on Red and Purple lines as well and
> the CTA is advising customers to plan for extra travel time.
