Well, sure! The runners don't have to stop and pick up passengers. And most people, especially us older non-athletic folks, have no interest in running several miles in the July weather.

And as noted, "You have to run four six-minute miles." Most commuters/travelers would have heart attacks trying to do that without training.

But it's a fun stunt, and the coverage is entertaining.
