when the story broke, and are probably closer to the reality than what the tourism-based leadership wanted to get out. The reports of passengers being pulled from the river now may have some credence. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/30/14 09:39 by GenePoon. I can not imagine that situation had it been at any other location on the White Pass.
Question: is there any preliminary cause--I know that speculation is frowned upon on TOs but certainly there is a "best guess" cause. BTW, White Pass reopened the line for cruise trains in only 3 days. This is at the summit in the area that the derailment occurred.
