Crescent trespasser strike, fatal

Alabama Rails Group reports Amtrak 20(31), Crescent, struck a trespasser on
the tracks just north of Tuscaloosa.

Train is now underway after a delay of nearly two hours.

Things aren't handled in such a complex manner outside the major population
areas and the two Coasts. There are many good things to be said about
simple Government.

Depends on replacement crew availability, too. My wife and I were on train 92 Silver Star several years ago when the train hit a municipal dump truck just south of the North-South Carolina border. We sat for eight hours.
