tidewaterbiz.com, Part of the Daily Press newspaper of Newport News, Va. of reports that the present Amtrak station will be replaced by a new station north, by time table, of the present station just opposite Patrick Henry airport in Newport News on Bland Blvd. Covered concourse, high level platforms, etc. Scheduled to open in 2018.

Thank you for the link, I did not know the subject had already been covered.

Most of any passenger count decline can probably laid to the start up of the Norfolk to NEC service.
