Passenger Trains > Pine Tree Limited on the Southern Tier

This is the AAPRCO Special at track speed at a crossing at Tioga Center, New York on the original Erie line through the Southern Tier on its way to Binghamton to spend the night. The original intent to frame the video with the sound of the warning bell as the crossing gates descended was thwarted as I was distracted by one well-meaning fellow railfan who phoned me at that moment to let me know the train was coming and another who just dropped by and caught me explaining the significance of the train. Oh, well. It is still quite impressive.
